WWDC 2012 summary

You may have followed the 2012 Apple WWDC live, but for latecomers or those who want a summary, all the new features presented by Apple for its new Mac OS X's new Montain Lion, and its mobile OS, iOS 6.
iOS 6
For starters, the main announcement of this conference as we are concerned relates to the new version of IOS 6, the operating system used on the iPhone and the iPad and iPod Touch. Apple offers today its new OS for a number of novelties. Discover the main innovations below:
WWDC 2012
- Passbook: This application allows to manage its loyalty cards, train tickets, plane tickets or his performances ... Compatible with many U.S. agencies, we do not yet know what it is for France.

- Photostream: This new feature gives users the ability to share photos with other users iOS 6 easily.

- A fashion "Do not disturb" will block calls, SMS notifications and not to be disturbed during a defined period of time. You can add an exception for her favorite contacts.

- Facebook: Facebook is now integrated into iOS 6, with full synchronization of contacts and their profile picture. It is also possible to "Liker" applications from the App Store for a publication on your Facebook wall.

- Integration of Siri in cars compatible: management by voice commands on compatible models: BMW, General Motors, Mercedes, Land Rover, Jaguar, Audi, Toyota, Honda and Chrysler

- Ability to upload images from Safari on any website.

- Insert images or videos directly in an email: it is no longer necessary to go through the film to load images into an e-mail

- Maps: GPS in real application in turn by turn (like a classic car GPS), also with the application and 3D Flyover cities to watch in 3D view of the sky. It seems that Apple has set up a partnership with TomTom, but it's still a rumor. Google Maps has just been expelled from IOS.

- Partnership with Yelp for points of interest.

Mountain Lion OS X

The new version of OS X, named Cougar in French, will carry three new applications: Messages, Reminders and Notes. They are fortunately compatible with icloud, which is now integrated into the operating system. Applications Page, Numbers, Keynote, TextEdit and Preview are now compatible with the icloud.

As expected Apple to the previous conference, we can find the bar Notification Center. Siri yet, but another big news anyway, Dictation function would be integrated into the OS that will allow dictation in any application where you can write text.

Safari is also a makeover with icloud Tabs button that allows to see the open windows on all terminals connected to Apple icloud account. It will also be faster than its previous version.

Mountain Lion OS X will be available from July for $ 19.99 (probably the same price in euros).

MacBook Pro and MacBook Air
Apple also introduced its new developments in computers. The MacBook Air and MacBook Pro are all existing updated, but the big innovation is the announcement of a brand new MacBook Pro, which integrates a quad-core i7 processor, a Retina Display screen 2880 x 1800 15.4 " , an SSD to 768 GB of RAM and up to 16GB, all for a thickness of only 1.8 cm and a weight of 2.02 kg.
