Maps Apple confirmed agreement with TomTom

Maps Apple confirmed agreement with TomTom
If you followed the innovations introduced by Apple at WWDC 2012, which took place last Monday in San Francisco, you may already know that the Apple brand launches its own mapping service called Maps. It was rumored that a partnership had been fitted with TomTom to provide this application. This information has been confirmed by a statement from TomTom.
During his keynote WWDC Monday, Apple introduced many new features (details of which is on Article WWDC 2012: abstract). Among them, the Cupertino company has notably introduced a new mapping application, Maps, which will be integrated into the IOS 6, next version of their operating system.

TomTom has announced that he had actually signed an agreement with Apple for this application, but declined to give details. However, Apple said at its press conference on the application it would be a "map designed by Apple." This suggests that it uses only the main information mapping TomTom but creating its own solution.

As a reminder, the Maps application will contain the particular GPS navigation turn by turn, a mode that allows 3D Flyover City of cities in 3D view of the sky, but also information on road traffic. It will be available with six IOS, which itself should be available to users at the same time as the iPhone can output 5, it would seem so in September.
